Pharm-D sets to be Secretariat of the Asia IDDSI Festival 2024
Kuala Lumpur – The Asia IDDSI Festival 2024 is set to take place this year on November 29-30 at IMU University, bringing together healthcare professionals, caregivers, culinary experts, and industry leaders to advance knowledge and practices in dysphagia care.
Organised by the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative IDDSI Committee, this year’s festival will see Pharm-D Sdn Bhd serving as the Festival’s Secretariat.
The Asia IDDSI Festival is a specialized platform dedicated to promoting safe and enjoyable eating and drinking for individuals with dysphagia using the globally recognized IDDSI framework. delegates can look forward to an interactive Masterclass Workshop led by professional chefs Preston Walker and James Ball from OHK (formerly Oakhouse Kitchen), who will demonstrate techniques for preparing dysphagia-friendly meals, including a texture-modified version of Malaysia’s iconic dishes such as Nasi Lemak, Mi and Mihun Goreng.
In addition to the Masterclass Workshop, the festival will feature sessions on multidisciplinary approaches to dysphagia assessment, patient-caretaker sharing, and cutting-edge IDDSI implementation strategies.
